कपिलगोसंवादे गृहस्थ-त्यागधर्मयोः प्रमाण्यविचारः

जातफपफक्षांश्व॒ सो5पश्यदुड्डीनान्‌ पुनरागतान्‌ | सायं सायं द्विजान्‌ विप्रो न चाकम्पत जाजलि:,बच्चोंके पंख हो गये थे, इसलिये वे दिनमें चारा चुगनेके लिये उड़कर निकल जाते और प्रतिदिन सायंकाल फिर वहीं लौट आते थे। ब्राह्मणप्रवर जाजलि उन पक्षियोंको इस प्रकार आते-जाते देखते, परंतु हिलते-डुलते नहीं थे

jātapakṣāṃś ca so 'paśyad uḍḍīnān punar āgatān | sāyaṃ sāyaṃ dvijān vipro na cākampata jājaliḥ ||

قال بهيشما: لما اشتدّت أجنحة الفراخ رآها تطير ثم تعود. مساءً بعد مساء كان البراهمن جاجلي يراقب الطيور وهي تذهب وتجيء، ومع ذلك لم يتحرك—ثابتًا على عزمه الزاهد وضبطه لنفسه.
