प्रयत्नेनापि चारक्षच्चित्तं पुत्रस्य वै पिता
prayatnenāpi cārakṣac cittaṃ putrasya vai pitā
قال شَكْرَا (إندرا): حتى مع الجهد الصادق لم يستطع الأب أن يصون عقل ابنه أو يثبّته—وفي ذلك دلالة على أن عناية الوالدين لها حدود إذا غاب العزم الباطن وضبط النفس.
शक्र उवाच
External guardianship—even by a well-intentioned parent—cannot fully protect a person’s inner mind; lasting safety depends on the individual’s own discipline and right understanding.
Śakra (Indra) comments on a situation where a father, despite trying hard, fails to keep his son’s mind on a wholesome or stable course, highlighting the moral that inner restraint cannot be imposed from outside.
