शक्र उवाच
The verse highlights norms of dharma in household life: a daughter-in-law should act with modesty and deference before elders; overtly exercising authority in their presence is portrayed as improper conduct.
Śakra (Indra) describes a situation in which a bride, instead of behaving with restraint before her in-laws, openly orders the servants in front of them—used as an example to illustrate (or critique) a lapse in proper domestic decorum.
