माजरि व्रीडितो भूत्वा मूषिकं वाक्यमब्रवीत्,पलितने जब इस प्रकार स्पष्टरूपसे कड़ी फटकार सुनायी, तब बिलावने लज्जित होकर पुनः उस चूहेसे इस प्रकार कहा
Mārjāri vrīḍito bhūtvā mūṣikaṁ vākyam abravīt.
قال بيشما: لما وُبِّخ القطُّ توبيخًا صريحًا شديدًا على الملأ، استحيا؛ ثم لما استعاد رباطة جأشه عاد فخاطب الفأر من جديد. وتُبرز هذه الحادثة أن الإثم إذا كُشف بوعظٍ بيّنٍ قاهرٍ قد يُلجئ حتى الماكر إلى إظهار التواضع ظاهرًا—غير أن السامع لا بد أن يزن المقاصد بحذر.
