Adhyāya 118: Saciva-parīkṣā

Testing and Appointment of Ministers/Servants

थ्वा त्वं द्वीपित्वमापन्नो द्वीपीव्याप्रत्वमागत:

tvaṃ tvam dvīpitvam āpanno dvīpīvyāpratvam āgataḥ

قال بهيشما: «لقد انتقلتَ إلى حال الفهد، ومن الفهد مضيتَ قُدمًا—وهكذا تنقّلتَ في ولاداتٍ حيوانيةٍ متعاقبة. فكنتَ أولًا كلبًا، ثم فهدًا، ثم دخلتَ رحمَ نمر؛ ومن النمر صرتَ فيلًا سكرانَ بالهياج؛ ومن الفيل دخلتَ رحمَ أسد؛ ثم إذ كنتَ أسدًا قويًّا نلتَ مرةً أخرى جسدَ الشَّرَبَه.»
