मृदु-तीक्ष्ण-नीति तथा दुष्टलक्षण-विज्ञानम्
Measured Policy and the Recognition of Malicious Disposition
भीष्म उवाच स तद्वचः शत्रुनिबर्हणे रत- स्तथा चकारावितथं बृहस्पते: । चचार काले विजयाय चारिहा वशं च शत्रूननयत् पुरंदर:
bhīṣma uvāca | sa tadvacaḥ śatrunibarhaṇe rataḥ tathā cakārāvitathaṁ bṛhaspateḥ | cacāra kāle vijayāya cārihā vaśaṁ ca śatrūn anayat purandaraḥ ||
قال بهيشما: إنَّ إندرا، مُهلكَ الأعداء، الذي لا يفتأُ مُنصرفًا إلى قمع الخصوم، قد سمع مشورة بريهاسبتي الصادقة فعمل بها على وجهها. ثم خرج في الوقت الملائم لطلب الظفر، فغدا بوراندرا، قاهرَ الأعداء، مُخضعًا جميع خصومه لسلطانه. والعبرة الأخلاقية أن النجاح في صراعٍ عادل لا يقوم على القوة وحدها، بل على الإصغاء لهدي الحكماء واختيار الوقت الصحيح للفعل.
