Gadāyuddhe Kṛṣṇopadeśaḥ (Kṛṣṇa’s Counsel in the Mace-Duel) — Śalya-parva 57

Educational Q&A

Even when an action fails to achieve its immediate aim (moghā), it can still produce powerful consequences; the episode highlights the volatility of war and the need for steadiness amid sudden turns.

Bhīma hurls a mace, but it does not strike effectively and falls; its heavy impact produces a thunder-like roar that shakes the earth, emphasizing the ferocity of the duel and the battlefield’s awe.
