Adhyāya 45 — Duryodhana’s Distress, Śakuni’s Counsel, and the Summons for Dyūta

तदद्धुतममन्यन्त दृष्ट्वा सर्वे महीक्षित: । यद्‌ विवेश महाबाहुं तत्‌ तेज: पुरुषोत्तमम्‌,यह देखकर सभी राजाओंको बड़ा आश्चर्य हुआ, क्योंकि उसका तेज महाबाहु पुरुषोत्तममें प्रविष्ट हो गया

tad adbhutam amanyanta dṛṣṭvā sarve mahīkṣitaḥ | yad viveśa mahābāhuṃ tat tejaḥ puruṣottamam ||

قال فايشَمبايانا: لما رأى الملوك ذلك أُخذوا جميعًا بالعجب، لأن ذلك البهاء دخل في بوروشوتّما ذي الساعدين القويين. وتشير هذه الصورة إلى انتقالٍ للسلطان والحضور بإقرارٍ إلهي، فأورثت رهبةً في نفوس الملوك المجتمعين، وأكّدت أن السيادة الحقّة تقوم على قوةٍ مقدّسة أعلى لا على البطش البشري وحده.
