Commencement of the Regulated Duel
सस््नातकान ब्राह्मणान् प्राप्ताछछुत्वा स समितिंजय: । अत्यर्धीत्रे नृपति: प्रत्युदूग॒च्छति भारत,भारत! युद्धविजयी राजा जरासंध स्नातक ब्राह्मणोंका आगमन सुनकर आधी रातके समय भी उनकी आवभगतके लिये उनके पास चला जाता था
snātakān brāhmaṇān prāptān śrutvā sa samitiṃjayaḥ | aty-ardharātre nṛpatiḥ pratyudgacchati bhārata ||
يا بهاراتا، ما إن كان يسمع بوصول براهمةٍ من السْناتَكَة حتى كان ذلك الملك—سَمِتِمْجَيَة (جَرَاسَنْدَه)، الظافر في الحرب—يخرج لاستقبالهم حتى في صميم انتصاف الليل.
