उत्पातदर्शनम् — Portents and Kāla among the Vṛṣṇis
निविष्टांस्तान् निशम्याथ समुद्रान्ते स योगवित् । जगामामन्त्रय तान् वीरानुद्धवो<5र्थविशारद:,परमार्थ ज्ञानमें कुशल और योगवेत्ता उद्धवजीने देखा कि समस्त वीर यदुवंशी समुद्रतटपर डेरा डाले बैठे हैं। तब वे उन सबसे पूछकर--विदा लेकर वहाँसे चल दिये
niviṣṭāṁs tān niśamyātha samudrānte sa yogavit | jagāmāmantrya tān vīrān uddhavo 'rthaviśāradaḥ ||
قال فايشَمبايَنَة: ولمّا رأى أُدّهاڤا—العارف باليوغا والبصير بالغاية العليا—أولئك الأبطال وقد عسكروا على شاطئ البحر، خاطبهم ثم استأذنهم وانصرف راحلًا.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights disciplined conduct and detachment: a wise person (yogavit, arthaviśārada) acts with clarity, addresses others properly, and departs without agitation—suggesting ethical restraint and awareness of higher purpose amid worldly gatherings.
Uddhava sees the Yādava warriors encamped on the seashore; after speaking to them and formally taking leave, he departs. It marks a transition point in the Mausala Parva’s unfolding events.
