Arjuna’s targeted advance; Śalya–Karṇa dialogue; interception attempts
sañjaya uvāca |
sarvam āha sudurdharṣo vāsudevaḥ kirīṭine |
tato rājan mahāghoraḥ prādurāsīn mahāraṇaḥ ||
The verse highlights the transition from guidance to action: Kṛṣṇa, portrayed as invincible and authoritative, completes his counsel to Arjuna, after which the terrible battle begins—suggesting that right understanding and resolve must precede engagement in morally fraught conflict.
Sañjaya reports to King Dhṛtarāṣṭra that Kṛṣṇa has conveyed all necessary instructions to Arjuna; immediately afterward, the scene shifts into the outbreak of an extremely fierce phase of the war.
