वैदूर्यदण्डांश्व शुभान् पतितानड्कुशान् भुवि । बद्धा: सादिभुजाग्रेषु सुवर्णविकृता: कशा:
sañjaya uvāca
vaidūryadaṇḍāṁś ca śubhān patitān aṅkuśān bhuvi |
baddhāḥ sādibhuja-agreṣu suvarṇa-vikṛtāḥ kaśāḥ ||
قال سنجيا: «كانت على الأرض مِهاميزُ كثيرةٌ حسنةٌ، مقابضُها مُطعَّمةٌ بجواهر الفيدوريا. وكثيرٌ من السياط المصوغة من الذهب—التي كانت تُقبَض بإحكام في أيدي الفرسان—قد قُطِعت وسقطت. ويُظهر هذا المشهد أن أدوات الضبط والأمر في الحرب نفسها تنكسر، إيذانًا بانهيار النظام وسط العنف.»
