Karṇa’s Pressure on the Pāñcālas; Duryodhana Disabled; Arjuna’s Counter-Advance
कुर्वाणा विविधान् रावानाशंसन्तो जयं तथा । वे दो-दो घड़ीपर बारंबार उड़-उड़कर कहते--'देखो
kurvāṇā vividhān rāvān āśaṃsanto jayaṃ tathā |
كانت الغربان تُطلق شتّى الصيحات الخشنة، وتُعلن مرارًا وتكرارًا النصرَ لصفّها. وكانت تطير صعودًا وهبوطًا بلا انقطاع، ساخرةً: «انظروا—هذه طيرانُ الغراب، وتلك طيرانُ الغراب!» وهكذا استهزأت بالبجع وخاطبته بكلمات مُرّة. وفي الوقت نفسه كانت تتفاءل بانتصار الغربان وتُرسل التهاني الميمونة، ثرثارةً بألوان من النبرات، وهي تندفع من أغصان الشجر إلى الأرض ثم من الأرض إلى الأغصان—قلقةً صاخبةً، لا همَّ لها إلا إذلالُ ذوي النُّبل.
