Karṇa’s Pressure on the Pāñcālas; Duryodhana Disabled; Arjuna’s Counter-Advance
हंसस्य पतितं काको बलवानाशुविक्रम: । तब वहाँ आये हुए सारे कौए जोर-जोरसे हँसने लगे और आपसमें बोले--“भला यह हंस एक ही उड़ानसे सौ प्रकारकी उड़ानोंको कैसे जीत सकता है? यह कौआ बलवान् और शीघ्रतापूर्वक उड़नेवाला है; अतः सौमेंसे एक ही उड़ानद्वारा हंसकी उड़ानको पराजित कर देगा'
haṃsasya patitaṃ kāko balavān āśu-vikramaḥ |
«لقد انقضّ غرابٌ على البجعة—قويٌّ سريعُ الكرّة.» عندئذٍ انفجر الغربان المجتمعون هناك ضحكًا عاليًا وقال بعضهم لبعض: «كيف لهذه البجعة، بطيرانٍ واحد، أن تغلب مئةَ نوعٍ من الطيران؟ إن هذا الغراب شديدٌ سريع الحركة؛ فبواحدٍ فقط من تلك المئة سيقهر طيران البجعة!»
