विडीनं परिडीनं च पराडीनं सुडीनकम् | अभिडीनं महाडीन॑ निर्डीनमतिडीनकम्
viḍīnaṃ pariḍīnaṃ ca parāḍīnaṃ suḍīnakam | abhiḍīnaṃ mahāḍīnaṃ nirḍīnam atiḍīnakam
قال الغراب: «لقد صرتُ شقيًّا غاية الشقاء—مُنهكًا من كل وجه: سقطتُ في البؤس، وغُصتُ في بؤسٍ أعمق، وانطرحتُ في بؤسٍ لا حدَّ له؛ بائسًا، أشدَّ بؤسًا، بؤسًا عظيمًا؛ مُجرَّدًا من كل قوة، مُنحدرًا إلى أقصى الفاقة».
