कर्णेन युधिष्ठिरानीकविदारणम् / Karṇa’s Breach of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Battle-Line
गन्धर्वाणां सहस्राणि प्रयुतान्यर्बुदानि च । वादयन्ति प्रयाणे5स्य वाद्यानि विविधानि च,उनके प्रस्थानके समय सहस्रों, लाखों और अरबों गन्धर्व नाना प्रकारके बाजे बजा रहे थे
gandharvāṇāṃ sahasrāṇi prayutāny arbudāni ca | vādayanti prayāṇe ’sya vādyāni vividhāni ca ||
عند ساعة رحيله، كان آلافٌ—بل عشراتُ الآلاف، بل حتى كُروراتٌ—من الغندرفات يعزفون شتّى أصناف الآلات الموسيقية. ويُبرز المشهدُ دلالةً استثنائية تكاد تكون سماويةً لهذا الخروج، كأنّ السماوات نفسها وسمت اللحظة بالتكريم والوقار.
