कर्णेन युधिष्ठिरानीकविदारणम् / Karṇa’s Breach of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Battle-Line

अभीषून्‌ हि प्रतोदं च संजग्राह पितामह: । अपने तेजसे प्रकाशित होते हुए भगवान्‌ ब्रह्माने रथारूढ़ होकर घोड़ोंकी बागडोर और चाबुक दोनों वस्तुएँ अपने हाथमें ले लीं ।।

abhīṣūn hi pratodaṃ ca saṃjagrāha pitāmahaḥ | apane tejase prakāśita hote hue bhagavān brahmāne rathārūḍha hokara ghoṛoṃ kī bāgaḍora aura cābuka donoṃ vastueṃ apane hātha meṃ le līṃ || 78 || tata utthāpya bhagavāṃs tān hayān anilopamān

ثم تناول الجدُّ الأكبرُ زمامَ الخيلِ والسوطَ. وكان براهما المباركُ، متلألئًا بجلاله الذاتي، قد اعتلى العربةَ فأمسك بيده كلا الأمرين: زمامَ الخيلِ وأداةَ الحثّ. ثم أيقظ الربُّ تلك الجيادَ السريعةَ كالريح ودفعها إلى العدو. ويُبرز هذا المقطعُ صورةً أخلاقيةً للقيادة المسؤولة: ففي أوقات الشدّة لا يكتفي العظماءُ بإصدار الأوامر من بعيد، بل يتولّون زمام الأمر بأنفسهم، ويقودون القوى الجبّارة بالانضباط لا بالانفلات.
