Karṇa’s Breach of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Battle-Line
rāmaḥ kṛtasvastyayanaḥ prayayau dānavān prati | abravīd devaśatrūṃs tān mahādarpabalānvitān |

Power should be tempered by righteousness: before engaging in conflict, one should ground oneself in auspicious discipline and then confront prideful aggression firmly, aiming to restore order rather than to indulge anger.
Paraśurāma performs auspicious rites (svastyayana) and then advances to face the Dānavas, addressing them as formidable enemies of the gods who are inflated with pride and strength.
