Droṇa-parva Adhyāya 94: Sātyaki–Sudarśana Yuddha (सात्यकि–सुदर्शन युद्ध)

rathaṃ cānyeḥ subahubhiś cakre viśakalaṃ śaraiḥ | sudakṣiṇaṃ taṃ kāmbojaṃ moghasaṅkalpavikramam ||

Educational Q&A

The verse underscores the battlefield truth that even the most resolute and valorous warrior is subject to the collective force of opponents and the harsh contingencies of war; prowess must coexist with endurance and acceptance of reversals.

Sañjaya reports that multiple fighters shower Sudakṣiṇa of Kāmboja with arrows, breaking his chariot and wheels into pieces, indicating a concentrated assault against him in the ongoing battle.
