जामदग्न्यो ह्ृतियशा मरिष्यति महाद्युति: । इस प्रकार भूगुकुलकी कीर्ति बढ़ानेवाले महायशस्वी, महातेजस्वी और सैकड़ों गुणोंसे सम्पन्न जमदग्निनन्दन परशुराम भी एक-न-एक दिन मरेंगे ही
jāmadagnyo hṛtiyaśā mariṣyati mahādyutiḥ |
قال نارادا: «حتى جاماداغنيا باراشوراما—المشهور بمجده والمتلألئ بعظيم البهاء—سيموت يومًا ما، لا محالة، عاجلًا أو آجلًا». وفي خضمّ سرد الحرب وسمعة الأبطال، يذكّر هذا القول بعبرةٍ أخلاقية: لا الشهرة ولا النسب ولا السلطان يعصم أحدًا من الفناء؛ ومن ثمّ فالكِبر والتعلّق بالمقام مآلهما إلى العبث.
