भूतग्रामाश्न विविधा: संतृप्ता यज्ञसम्पदा | गयस्य सदृशो यज्ञो नास्त्यन्य इति तेडब्रुवन्
bhūtagrāmāś ca vividhāḥ saṃtṛptā yajñasampadā | gayasya sadṛśo yajño nāsty anya iti te ’bruvan |
قال نارادا: «إن أصنافًا كثيرة من الكائنات الحيّة، وقد شبعت وارتوت تمامًا من وفرة ذلك اليَجْنَه، قالت: “لا يَجْنَهَ آخر يساوي يَجْنَهَ غايا.”»
नारद उवाच
A sacrifice is ethically great when its ‘prosperity’ results in the satisfaction and welfare of many beings; yajña is presented as a model of dharmic giving and sustaining life.
Nārada reports how various beings, having benefited from the abundance produced by Gaya’s sacrifice, publicly proclaim it unrivaled among sacrifices.
