Droṇa-parva Adhyāya 37: Sañjaya’s Account of Abhimanyu’s Precision Disruption of a Chariot Contingent
इस प्रकार श्रीमह्ाभारत द्रोणपर्वके अन्तर्गत अभिमनन््युवधपर्वमें आभिमन्युका पराक्रमविषयक छत्तीसवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ,सम्प्रेक्ष्य तं महाबाहुं रुक्मपुड्खै: समावृतम् । त्वदीया: प्रपलायन्ते मृगा: सिंहार्दिता इव महाबाहु शल्यको अभिमन्युके सुवर्णमय पंखवाले बाणोंसे व्याप्त हुआ देख आपके सभी सैनिक सिंहके सताये हुए मृगोंकी भाँति जोर-जोरसे भागने लगे
sañjaya uvāca | samprekṣya taṃ mahābāhuṃ rukmapuṅkhaiḥ samāvṛtam | tvadīyāḥ prapalāyante mṛgāḥ siṃhārditā iva ||
قال سانجيا: لما رأى جنودُك أبهيمانيو ذا الساعدين العظيمين وقد غُطِّيَ كلُّه بسهامٍ ذاتِ ريشٍ من ذهب، انهاروا وتفرّقوا هاربين في كل اتجاه—كغزلانٍ تتبدّد حين يهجم عليها الأسد.
