Educational Q&A

The verse underscores how warfare unleashes forces that become almost autonomous in their destructiveness—once released, violence moves swiftly and inevitably, heightening the ethical burden on those who choose to hurl it.

Sañjaya describes missiles being launched with great force; they rush forward like serpents, conveying speed, menace, and the lethal intensity of the ongoing combat.
