व्यास उवाच
Divine grace follows genuine appeasement and right intention; even exalted beings must act with humility and propriety, for the Lord who upholds cosmic order can also correct ritual pride and disorder (as recalled by the destruction of Dakṣa’s sacrifice).
Vyāsa narrates that Śiva—identified by epithets ‘Vṛṣadhvaja’ and ‘destroyer of Dakṣa’s sacrifice’—becomes pleased with those addressed, and, together with Umā, turns favorably toward the gods.
