युगान्ते सर्वभूतानि संवर्तक इवानल: । भरतनन्दन! जैसे प्रलयकालमें संवर्तक अग्नि सब प्राणियोंको जलाकर भस्म कर देती है, उसी प्रकार उस आग्नेयास्त्रने पाण्डवोंकी उस भयभीत सेनाको युद्धस्थलमें जलाना आरम्भ कर दिया
yugānte sarvabhūtāni saṃvartaka ivānalaḥ | bharatanandana! yathā pralayakāle saṃvartakāgniḥ sarvaprāṇinaḥ dagdhvā bhasmasāt karoti, tathā tad āgneyāstraṃ yuddhasthale pāṇḍavānāṃ tāṃ bhayabhītāṃ senāṃ dagdhum ārabdhavat ||
قال سانجيا: «يا بهجة آل بهاراتا! كما أن نارَ “سَمْفَرْتَكَ” في نهاية الدهر تحرق جميع الكائنات حتى تصير رمادًا، كذلك بدأ سلاحُ أغنيَيا يحرق جيشَ الباندافا المذعور في ساحة القتال.»
