द्वैधीकृतान् कुरून् दृष्टवा माधवोडर्जुनमब्रवीत् । सपत्नान् सव्यतः कृत्वा अपसव्यमिमं कुरु,कौरव-सेनाको दो भागोंमें विभक्त देख भगवान् श्रीकृष्णने अर्जुनसे कहा--'पार्थ! तुम अन्य शत्रुओंको बायें करके इन द्रोणाचार्यको दायें करो (और इनके बीचसे होकर आगे बढ़ चलो)'
dvaidhīkṛtān kurūn dṛṣṭvā mādhavo 'rjunam abravīt | sapatnān savyataḥ kṛtvā apasavyam imaṃ kuru ||
قال سنجيا: لما رأى جموع الكورو قد انقسمت إلى فرقتين، خاطب ماذافا (كريشنا) أرجونا قائلاً: «اجعل الخصوم عن يسارك، وضع هذا عن يمينك—وتقدّم في الاتجاه المعاكس (عكس عقارب الساعة)».
