प्राणिनामिह सर्वेषामेषा निष्ठा युधिष्ठिर । तात! भरतश्रेष्ठ तुम्हारे हितके लिये ही वह राक्षस युद्धमें मारा गया है; ऐसा समझकर न तो तुम किसीपर क्रोध करो और न मनमें शोकको ही स्थान दो। युधिष्ठिर! इस जगत्के समस्त प्राणियोंकी अन्तमें यही गति होती है ।। भ्रातृभि: सहित: सर्व: पार्थिवैश्व महात्मभि:
prāṇinām iha sarveṣām eṣā niṣṭhā yudhiṣṭhira | tāta bharataśreṣṭha tvad-hitāyaiva sa rākṣaso yuddhe hataḥ iti matvā na tvaṁ kaṁcid abhi krudhyāḥ na ca manasi śokaṁ niveśayet | yudhiṣṭhira jagataḥ samasta-prāṇinām ante eṣaiva gatiḥ || bhrātṛbhiḥ sahitaḥ sarvaḥ pārthivaiś ca mahātmabhiḥ ||
قال فياسا: «يا يودهيشثيرا، هذه هي الحقيقة الأخيرة الثابتة لجميع الأحياء في هذا العالم. يا بُنيّ، يا خيرَ آلِ بهاراتا—اعلم أنّ ذلك الراكشاسا قُتل في المعركة من أجل مصلحتك؛ فلا تغضب من أحد، ولا تُسكن الحزن في قلبك. يا يودهيشثيرا، لجميع المخلوقات في الدنيا نهايةٌ واحدة—وهي المصير المشترك.»
