इति श्रीमहाभारते द्रोणपर्वणि घटोत्कचवधपर्वणि रात्रियुद्धेबलायुधवधे5ष्टसप्तत्यधिकशततमो< ध्याय:
iti śrīmahābhārate droṇaparvaṇi ghaṭotkacavadhaparvaṇi rātriyuddhe balāyudhavadhe aṣṭasaptatyadhikaśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ
هكذا، في «المهابهارتا المجيدة»، ضمن «دروṇa بارفا»—وخاصةً في القسم الخاص بمقتل غَطوتكچا—يُختَتم هنا الفصل الثامن والسبعون بعد المئة، واصفاً القتال ليلاً وقتل بَلَايوذَ. ويغلق هذا الخاتمة وحدةً سردية، مؤكداً كيف يزداد تدهور النظام الأخلاقي للحرب في قتال الليل، حيث يحلّ الخداع والأسلحة الخارقة شيئاً فشيئاً محلّ القتال المكشوف الموافق للدارما.
