भीमसेन-धृष्टद्युम्नयोर्वाक्यं

सीमन्तमिव कुर्वन्ती नभसो5ग्निसमप्रभाम्‌ । अप्राप्तामेव तां शक्तिं त्रिधा चिच्छेद कौरव:

sīmantaṃ iva kurvantī nabhaso ’gnisamaprabhām | aprāptām eva tāṃ śaktiṃ tridhā ciccheda kauravaḥ ||

قال سانجيا: إنّ الرمح المتوهّج، المشعّ كالنار وكأنه يشقّ السماء في اندفاعه، لم يكن قد بلغ هدفه بعدُ حين قطعه الكورافي إلى ثلاث قطع. ويُبرز هذا المشهد أنّه في ضراوة الحرب يمكن كبحُ حتى أفظع الأسلحة باليقظة والمهارة وبالردّ في أوانه—تذكيرًا بأن القوة، إن خلت من إصابة المقصد وحسن التنفيذ، أخفقت عن بلوغ غايتها.
