दुःशासन-सहदेव-संक्षोभः; भीम-राधेय-गदायुद्धम्; द्रोण-पार्थ-अस्त्रसंग्रामः

सा पाण्डुपुत्रस्य शरैर्दीयमाणा महाचमू:

sā pāṇḍuputrasya śarair dīyamānā mahācamūḥ

تلك الجموع العظيمة، إذ كانت تُثقب وتُمزَّق بسهام ابنِ پاندو، دُفِعت إلى الضيق والبلاء؛ فانحلّت قوتها وتصدّع نظامها تحت الهجوم المتواصل. ويؤكد البيت أنّ الحرب قد تُسقط حتى الجيوش الجرّارة إذا واجهت بأساً مُركَّزاً وعزماً لا يلين.
