तमापततन्तं वेगेन वैकर्तनमजिह्ागै:

Transliteration

tam āpatatantaṁ vegena vaikartanam ajihāgaiḥ

Translation

قال سانجيا: لما اندفع فايكارتانا (كارنا) إلى الأمام بسرعة عظيمة، لقيه وصدَّه وابلٌ من المقذوفات الملتوية كالأفاعي—كأنها حيّات—أُطلقت في حُمّى القتال. وهكذا يتبيّن أن في الحرب، حتى أشدّ الرجال بأسًا يواجه قوةً مضادّة وحِيَلًا وتدابير.
