Arjuna-vīrya-prasaṃśā and renewed battle formation
Yamau ca draupadeyāś ca rākṣasaś ca Ghaṭotkacaḥ | yeṣām arthāya yudhyante na teṣāṁ vidyate kṣayaḥ ||
The verse emphasizes the sustaining power of capable and righteous allies: when a cause is supported by strong, committed warriors, it is not easily extinguished. Ethically, it highlights how collective resolve and worthy leadership preserve a community’s endurance in crisis.
Kṛpa is assessing the battlefield situation and the Pāṇḍavas’ continuing strength. By naming the twins, the Draupadeyas, and Ghaṭotkaca, he points to key fighters whose presence and support prevent the opposing side’s efforts from achieving decisive destruction.
