Educational Q&A

The verse highlights solidarity and timely support in righteous struggle: when key warriors undertake a decisive action against a powerful opponent, allies must coordinate and reinforce them. It also hints at the ethical tension of war—facing a revered teacher like Droṇa—where duty to protect one’s side and uphold one’s cause collides with personal reverence.

Sañjaya reports to King Dhṛtarāṣṭra that Bhīma and Arjuna are charging toward Droṇācārya. Seeing this, Dhṛṣṭadyumna and the mighty Sātyaki also hurry to the same spot, converging to support the assault on Droṇa.
