संछाद्यमान: कौन्तेय: शरजालैरनेकश: । अक्रुध्यत् स महाबाहुरजित: कुरुनन्दन:,इस प्रकार बारंबार बाणसमूहोंसे आच्छादित किये जानेपर कुरुकूुलको आनन्दित करनेवाले अपराजित वीर कुन्तीकुमार महाबाहु अर्जुन अत्यन्त कुपित हो उठे
sañchādyamānaḥ kaunteyaḥ śarajālair anekaśaḥ | akrudhyat sa mahābāhur ajitaḥ kurunandanaḥ ||
قال سانجيا: مرّة بعد مرّة، إذ كان أرجونا—ابن كونتي، عظيم الساعدين، لا يُقهر، بهجة آل كورو—يُغطّى بشباكٍ من السهام لا تُحصى، اشتعل غضبه وهاج.
