यच्च मे गर्हसे राजन्नन्येन सह संगतम्‌ | अहं त्वया विनिकृतस्तत्र मे बुद्धिविभ्रम:,राजन्‌! आप जो यह कहकर मेरी निन्दा कर रहे हैं कि “अर्जुन! मैं दूसरेके साथ युद्धमें लगा हुआ था, उस दशामें तुमने मेरे साथ छल किया” आपकी इस बातसे मेरी बुद्धिमें भ्रम पैदा हो गया है

yac ca me garhase rājann anyena saha saṅgatam | ahaṃ tvayā vinikṛtas tatra me buddhivibhramaḥ ||

«أيها الملك، حين توبّخني بتهمة أني، بينما كنتَ منشغلاً بقتال غيرك، عاملتُك بالخديعة، فإن اتهامك يوقع عقلي في اضطراب—ويحملني على التساؤل: ما الذي يكون حقًّا هو الصواب وسط حِيَل الحرب ومكائدها؟»
