Adhyāya 141 — Night duels: Śaineya and Bhūriśravas; Droṇi and Ghaṭotkaca; Bhīma and Duryodhana
वैहायसं प्राक्रमद् वै कर्णस्य व्यथयन्मन: । कर्णके धनुषसे छूटे हुए बाणोंद्वारा घायल किये जाते हुए बलवान् भीमसेन कर्णके मनमें व्यथा उत्पन्न करते हुए उसे पकड़नेके लिये आकाशमें उछले || ७४ $ ।। स तस्य चरितं दृष्टवा संग्रामे विजयैषिण:
vaihāyasaṁ prākramad vai karṇasya vyathayan manaḥ | karṇake dhanuṣase chūṭe hue bāṇoṁdvārā ghāyal kiye jāte hue balavān bhīmasena karṇake manameṁ vyathā utpanna karte hue use pakaṛne ke liye ākāśameṁ uchale || 74 || sa tasya caritaṁ dṛṣṭvā saṅgrāme vijayaiṣiṇaḥ
قال سانجايا: ومع أنَّ بهيماسينا الجبّار كان مجروحًا بسهامٍ انطلقت من قوسِ كارْنا، فإنه وثب إلى السماء ليقبض على كارْنا؛ وبهذه الوثبة الجريئة أثار في نفس كارْنا وجعًا وفزعًا. ولمّا رأى سلوكَ بهيما، ردَّ المحاربُ الطالبُ للنصر في تلك المعركة بما يليق.
