अक्षान्‌ स मन्यमान: प्राक्‌ शरास्ते हि दुरासदा: । शकुनि कौरवसभामें पहले जिन भयंकर पासोंको हाथमें लेकर जूएका खेल खेलता उन्हें वह तो पासे ही समझता था, परंतु वास्तवमें वे दुर्धर्ष बाण थे

akṣān sa manyamānaḥ prāk śarās te hi durāsadāḥ |

قال درونا: «كان يظنّها من قبلُ مجرّد نردٍ، لكنها في الحقيقة سهامٌ—مروّعةٌ عصيّةُ المنال. إنّ الأدوات نفسها التي لعب بها شكوني مقامرةَ المجلس في محفل الكورافا قد كشفت الآن عن طبيعتها كسلاح، فحوّلت الخديعةَ وانهيارَ الدارما إلى عنفِ الحرب.»
