Rātri-yuddhe Droṇasya prahāraḥ — Bhīmasenasya dhārtarāṣṭra-śūrānām nigrahaḥ

हृद्गतं मनसा प्राह ध्यात्वा धर्मभृतां वर: | मदोन्मत्त भीमसेनके बारंबार गर्जना करनेपर धर्मात्माओंमें श्रेष्ठ धर्मपुत्र महाबाहु युधिष्ठिर मुसकराकर मन-ही-मन कुछ सोचते हुए अपने हृदयकी बात इस प्रकार कहने लगे --

hṛdgataṃ manasā prāha dhyātvā dharmabhṛtāṃ varaḥ | madonmatta-bhīmasenake bāraṃbāra garjanā karanepar dharmātmāoṃ meṃ śreṣṭha dharmaputra mahābāhu yudhiṣṭhira muskarākar mana-hī-mana kuch socte hue apane hṛdayakī bāt isa prakāra kahane lage --

قال سانجيا: إنَّ أفضلَ حَمَلةِ الدَّرما، بعدما استغرق في التأمّل في باطنه، نطق بما استقرّ في قلبه. وبينما كان بهيماسينا، مخمورًا بحُمّى القتال، يزأر مرارًا وتكرارًا، ابتسم يودهيشثيرا ابنُ الدَّرما—عظيمُ الساعدين، والمتقدّمُ بين الأبرار—وتفكّر صامتًا في نفسه، ثم شرع يُفصح عن خبيئة فكره بهذه الكلمات.
