अब्रवीद् धर्मराजस्तु धनंजयमिदं वच: । श्रुतं ते पुरुषव्याप्र द्रोणस्याद्य चिकीर्षितम्
sañjaya uvāca |
abravīd dharmarājas tu dhanañjayam idaṃ vacaḥ |
śrutaṃ te puruṣavyāghra droṇasyādya cikīrṣitam |
āptair āśu parijñātaṃ bhāradvāja-cikīrṣitam ||
قال سنجيا: ثم قال دارماراجا (يودهيشثيرا) لدهاننجايا (أرجونا): «يا نمرَ الرجال، لا بدّ أنك سمعت ما ينويه درونا اليوم. فقد تبيّن سريعًا، بواسطة مُخبرين موثوقين، قصدُ ابن بهارادفاجا.»
संजय उवाच
Even amid war, righteous leadership relies on timely knowledge and trustworthy counsel. Yudhiṣṭhira’s dharmic prudence is shown in verifying the enemy’s intent through reliable sources before directing action.
Sañjaya reports that Yudhiṣṭhira addresses Arjuna, noting that Droṇa’s plan for the day has been heard and, through trusted informants, clearly confirmed—setting up the Pāṇḍavas’ response to Droṇa’s strategy.
