Educational Q&A

The verse emphasizes dharma as timely support: when a close one—bound by kinship, friendship, and reverence—falls into danger, one should exert oneself to help, especially in a moral crisis within the battlefield.

Yudhiṣṭhira urges a warrior addressed as “naraṛṣabha” to come to Arjuna’s aid, stressing Arjuna’s relationship as brother and trusted companion and highlighting that Arjuna is presently in severe difficulty amid the fighting.
