Droṇa-parva 112: Karṇa–Bhīma Engagement and Duryodhana’s Protective Order
प्रविशैतद् बल॑ तात धार्तराष्ट्रस्थ दुर्मते: । सत्यपराक्रमी वत्स! तुम मेरी इस बातको मानकर दुर्बुद्धि दुर्योधनकी इस सेनामें प्रवेश करो
praviśaitad bala tāta dhārtarāṣṭrastha durmateḥ | satyaparākramī vatsa! tvaṃ me imāṃ bātāṃ mānaya durbuddhi duryodhanasya etasyāṃ senāyāṃ praviśa kuru ||
قال يودهيشثيرا: «ادخلْ في هذه الكتيبة يا بُنيّ—ادخلْ في جيشٍ يقف مع أبناء دَهارتَراشْترا، يقوده ذو الرأي السقيم. يا ابنَ الشجاعة الصادقة، اقبلْ مشورتي وادخلْ في هذا الحشد التابع لدوريودَهانا الضالّ».
युधिष्ठिर उवाच
Even amid war, Yudhiṣṭhira frames action through ethical discernment: he urges a capable ally to act decisively while explicitly identifying the opposing side as guided by misguided intent, highlighting the dharmic need to choose one’s alignment and act with steadiness.
In the Drona Parva’s battle context, Yudhiṣṭhira addresses a younger or dear warrior, instructing him to enter the Kaurava host—Duryodhana’s army—after heeding Yudhiṣṭhira’s words, indicating a tactical move into enemy ranks.
