अदृष्टपूर्व पश्यामि शिलानामिव सर्पणम् | त्वया सम्प्रेषिता: पार्थ नार्थ कुर्वन्ति पत्रिण:,'पार्थ! आज तो मैं प्रस्तरखण्डोंके चलनेके समान ऐसी बात देख रहा हूँ, जिसे पहले कभी नहीं देखा था। तुम्हारे चलाये हुए बाण तो कोई काम नहीं कर रहे हैं
adṛṣṭapūrvaṁ paśyāmi śilānām iva sarpaṇam | tvayā sampreṣitāḥ pārtha nārthaṁ kurvanti patriṇaḥ ||
قال سنجيا: «يا بارثا، إنّي اليوم أرى ما لم أره قطّ من قبل—كأنّ الحجارةَ نفسها قد أخذت تَسير. إنّ السهامَ التي أرسلتَها لا تُؤدّي غايتها.»
