भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय ९६: सौभद्रस्य आक्रमणम्, अलम्बुसस्य प्रतिविधानम्
Abhimanyu’s assault; Alambusa’s counter-engagement
उस समय उन बाणोंके गहरे आघातसे वह अंकुशकी मार खाये हुए हाथीकी भाँति व्यथित हो उठा और तुरंत ही गरुड़के समान आकाशमें सब ओर उड़ने लगा ।।
saṃjaya uvāca | vyanadat sumahānādaṃ jīmūta iva śāradaḥ | diśaḥ khaṃ vidiśaś caiva nādayan bhairavasvanaḥ ||
قال سنجيا: عندئذٍ، وقد نُكِئَ بتلك السهام نُكْأً غائرًا، اضطرب كفيلٍ أُوجِع بخُطّاف سائسه. ثم ارتفع إلى السماء كغارودا وأطلق زئيرًا هائلًا؛ وإذ استقر في الجو كسحابةٍ خريفية، جعل بصوته المهيب الفضاءَ والجهاتِ والجهاتِ البينيةَ كلَّها تَدوّي.
