Even amid an imminent and righteous conflict, restraint in speech and a temporary suspension of hostile discourse can signal composure and a return to dharmic self-control; the verse highlights a moment where the atmosphere becomes calm and elevated, contrasting with the violence of war.
Sañjaya reports that after a brief time the scene appears serene and almost heavenly, and the assembled elite warriors do not discuss battle matters—suggesting a pause in martial agitation and a shift in mood before events resume.
