The Tumult of Battle Described
द्रौपदेयाइभिमन्युश्न शिखण्डी चापराजित: । न प्राजहन् भीमसेनं भये जाते महाबलम्
drauṇḍeyā abhimanyuś ca śikhaṇḍī cāparājitaḥ | na prājahur bhīmasenaṁ bhaye jāte mahābalam ||
قال سنجيا: لما نهض ذلك الخوف العظيم المروِّع، لم يترك دْهريشتاديومنَة بهيمسينا، ولا أبناء دروبدي الخمسة، ولا أبهيمانيو، ولا البطل الذي لا يُقهَر شيخَنْدي؛ فما هجر أحدٌ بهيمسينا الجبار.
संजय उवाच
In moments of extreme danger, dharmic conduct is shown by steadfastness—standing by one’s companions rather than abandoning them out of fear. The verse highlights loyalty and collective courage as ethical strengths in war.
Sañjaya reports that during a terrifying phase of battle, Bhīma’s close allies—Dhṛṣṭadyumna, the Draupadeyas, Abhimanyu, and Śikhaṇḍī—did not leave him; they remained with him despite the fear and turmoil.
