शक्तीक्ष विमलास्तीक्ष्णा गदाक्ष परिचै: सह | प्रासान् परश्वधांश्वैव मुदूगरान् मुसलानपि
śaktīkṣa vimalāstīkṣṇā gadākṣa paricaiḥ saha | prāsān paraśvadhāṁś caiva mudūgarān musalān api
قال سانجيا: «وكانت هناك أيضًا أسلحة لامعة حادّة—رماحٌ وطِعان—مع الدبابيس (المطارق) والفؤوس الحربية؛ وكذلك مزاريق، وهراوات من حديد، بل وحتى مدقّات ثقيلة.»
संजय उवाच
The verse is primarily descriptive, but it implicitly highlights the ethical seriousness of war: the careful gathering of lethal weapons signals that battle is not a casual act but a weighty undertaking that demands responsibility, restraint, and awareness of consequences.
Sañjaya continues his report of the battlefield preparations, enumerating various weapons present among the forces—spears, maces, axes, clubs, and pestle-like bludgeons—emphasizing the scale and readiness of the armies before engagement.
