तमुग्रतपस: सिद्धा: सुव्रता: सत्यवादिन: । पश्यन्ति न हि दुर्वत्तै: शक्‍्यो द्रष्टूं महेश्वर:,उग्र तपस्वी एवं उत्तम व्रतोंका पालन करनेवाले सत्यवादी सिद्ध पुरुष ही वहाँ उनका दर्शन करते हैं। दुराचारी लोगोंको भगवान्‌ महेश्वरका दर्शन नहीं हो सकता

tam ugratapasaḥ siddhāḥ suvratāḥ satyavādinaḥ | paśyanti na hi durvṛttaiḥ śakyo draṣṭuṃ maheśvaraḥ ||

لا يراه هناك إلا الكاملون—أهلُ التقشّف الشديد، الثابتون على النذور النبيلة، المخلصون للصدق. أمّا ذووا السلوك الفاسد فلا سبيل لهم إلى رؤية المولى العظيم (ماهيشفارا).

Educational Q&A

Divine vision is presented as ethically conditioned: truthfulness, disciplined vows, and austerity purify the seeker, whereas immoral conduct (durvṛtta) blocks the possibility of beholding Maheśvara.

Sañjaya describes who is capable of seeing Maheśvara: only realized ascetics and vow-keepers devoted to truth can behold Him, while the wicked cannot attain such a vision.
