निर्विशेषमयुध्येतां कृतप्रतिकृतेषिणौ । वे दोनों वीर अत्यन्त हर्षमें भरकर युद्धका अभिनन्दन करनेवाले थे। दोनों ही दोनोंके किये हुए प्रहारका प्रतीकार करते हुए समानभावसे युद्ध करने लगे
sañjaya uvāca | nirviśeṣam ayudhyetāṃ kṛta-pratikṛteṣiṇau |
قال سنجيا: قاتل المحاربان قتالًا متكافئًا لا تمييز فيه ولا غلبة لأحدهما، وكلٌّ منهما منصرفٌ إلى ردِّ ضربات صاحبه. وقد ابتهجا بساحة الوغى، فلاقى كلُّ ضربٍ ضربًا، في نزالٍ متوازن—صورةٌ لعزمٍ حربيٍّ لا يطلب الكفَّ بل يطلب الجزاء الفوريّ بالمثل.
