अध्याय ५५ — भीष्मस्य प्रचण्डविक्रमः, अर्जुनप्रत्युत्तरं, कृष्णस्य चक्रोद्यतिः

Chapter 55: Bhīṣma’s onslaught, Arjuna’s counter, and Kṛṣṇa’s raised discus

प्राहेदें वचनं काले हर्षयंस्तनयस्तव । नानाशस्त्रप्रहरणा: सर्वे युद्धविशारदा:,संजय कहते हैं--महाराज! उस अत्यन्त भयंकर अभेद्य क्रौंचव्यूहको अमिततेजस्वी अर्जुनके द्वारा सुरक्षित देखकर आपका पुत्र दुर्योधन आचार्य द्रोण, कृप, शल्य, भूरिश्रवा, विकर्ण, अश्वत्थामा और दुःशासन आदि सब भाइयों तथा युद्धके लिये आये हुए अन्य बहुतेरे शूरवीरोंके पास जाकर उन सबका हर्ष बढ़ाता हुआ यह समयोचित वचन बोला --वीरो! आप सब लोग नाना प्रकारके अस्त्र-शस्त्रोंके प्रहारमें कुशल तथा युद्धकी कलामें निपुण हैं

sañjaya uvāca | prāhedaṁ vacanaṁ kāle harṣayaṁs tanayas tava | nānāśastra-praharaṇāḥ sarve yuddhaviśāradāḥ ||

قال سنجيا: «وفي تلك اللحظة نطق ابنك بكلماتٍ في محلّها، مُبهجًا ومُشجّعًا رجاله: “إنكم جميعًا ماهرون في توجيه الضربات بمختلف أصناف السلاح، وخبراء في سنن القتال.”»
