आजलम्ने विशिखेी: षष्ट्या सेनान्यं स महारथ: । उस समय सेनानायक भीमसेनको सामने आते देख प्रतापी महारथी भीष्मने उन्हें साठ बाणोंसे घायल कर दिया || १०७ है || अभिमन्युं च समरे पिता देवव्रतस्तव

sañjaya uvāca | ājalamne viśikhaiḥ ṣaṣṭyā senānyaṃ sa mahārathaḥ | abhīmanyuṃ ca samare pitā devavratas tava ||

قال سانجيا: عندئذٍ أصاب بهيشما، فارسُ العربة العظيم، بهيماسينا قائدَ الجيش بستين سهمًا وهو يتقدّم إلى المقدّمة. وفي المعركة نفسها هاجم أبوك ديفافراتا (بهييشما) أبهيمانيو أيضًا—مُظهِرًا أن أخلاق الحرب القاسية لا تُمهل أحدًا؛ فحتى الشيوخُ الموقَّرون يلاقون الأبطال الصاعدين بكامل قوة السلاح، مقيّدين بواجبهم نحو جانبهم.
